7 months

Ahh, my baby is 7 months old! She already has six teeth with more soon to come (making nursing quite uncomfortable)! This last week she rolled from her back to her stomach for the first time. I was so proud! She's been getting physical therapy once a week since she was 3 months old, and this is one skill we've been focusing on for the past few months. It made me so happy seeing her overcome her fear. I beam every time I see her do it, especially seeing how proud she is of her new skill!

I sure love my daughters! It has been a lot of fun having two girls in a row. Ever since I found i was having another girl I started looking for matching outfits. Turns out they don't make baby clothes that match size 3-4. Luckily, Grandma Dana found these cute matching vests.

Halloween Preview

Last year Luci's friend Finn (who she claims she is going to marry when she grows up) was a pirate for Halloween. She was dying to be one too, so after Halloween I found this girl pirate costume on clearance for this year. Fortunately, she still likes it!

Another cute picture of Luci. She looks so grown up!

Birthday Bliss

September is party month at our house. My birthday is on the 14th and Kirk's is on the 21st. I meant to post about my birthday earlier, but as life goes I'm just getting around to it.
My birthday fell on Tuesday, Kirk's busiest day at school, but he still managed to make it a great day for me. He got up early and made me breakfast in bed, crepes filled with strawberries and whipped cream and sausage on the side. He even managed to get Luci dressed and on time to preschool. During his lunch break we picked him up and went to Applebee's for lunch. After Applebee's we went to Kohls and he let Luci pick out a present for me. She wanted to get jewelry so I picked out three necklaces I liked and she chose which one she wanted to buy me (a great way to get something you like while still letting them feel like they chose it).
After Kirk got home from school he whipped up a quick dinner for Luci and we had an raspberry chocolate chip ice cream pie. He got her to bed and then made me a nice candle lit dinner with some new candle stick holders and candles that he gave me. We haven't done that forever, it was really nice! Then we watched Letters to Juliet which I know Kirk thoroughly enjoyed :). I actually liked that movie a lot. It was cheesy, like all chick flicks, but clean which gets bonus points from me.
I feel so blessed to have a great husband who makes me feel so special! With my birthday money I got from Kirk's parents and my parents I decidedto decorate our room. I got a new comforter and I painted some canvases to go above my bed and I'm going to sew some new curtains and a dust ruffle. I'm getting closer to being done, so stay tuned for some pictures!

I'm pretty sure that Kirk had a good birthday too, but you'd have to ask him. He spent most of the day at school and working, but we still tried to make it special.
